Tupac was born in Harlem, New York on June 16, 1971 and moved to California with his family when he was 17. He got in with the Digital Underground as a backup dancer and roadie, who gave him his first opportunity to rap on a track. Tupac later recorded his own album, 2Pacalypse Now, which went gold. In 1993 Tupac formed his own group, Thug Life. Their first album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory in only seven days in August. The next month Tupac was killed, gunned down in his vehicle in Las Vegas.
